Riding broomsticks just for fun
swooping low and speeding fast
no cares but the muffins burning
and it's ok to forget them anyway
always there is more to make
and more to be embraced
as you whirl dervishly
across buttercup leaves
unafraid to fly or plummet
with a happy smile shimmering
always bringing the joy you know
even though your river once ran low
now you are a bearer of good tidings
who comes fearlessly in the dark of night
chasing away nightmares with your laugh
as we children clamor for another dose
of the magic that is your sweet smile
and you never choose to disappoint
for it is always your appointment
that you always keep
to meet yourself
