Why do we gather here?

Why do we gather here, in the bright and welcoming shade of this Un-Familiar land? Un-Afraid in this place to bear open our hearts a bit, step by step each day. Where the love runs not in rivers alone but in waterfalls too, spraying the divinity we are afraid to embrace freshly into our caught-off-guard faces. And here we see a rainbow of lights softly glowing, where sometimes we might have only seen words, buzzed out like parrots, but here we sometimes glimpse the hearts that sweetly rolls them out like dough into being. Sandcastles rising from the clouds and drifting in the breezes of our dreams carefully settling into solid life for a sweet while, no longer washed away by the morning tide. And yes, these kisses are for you, and you too, the doubting one who turns away and looks behind to see the recipient you expect must have been intended for this kiss that is yours alone. But know it's you. It is you. And you are not alone if you think of that in a lonely way, for we are many when we squint our eyes and see. Many who are one. A train of waves washing at our neighbors shore. We cannot see ourselves except in their eyes, for we are nothing to see without them. And yet you do not need them, not for their acceptance. It is they who need you to accept yourself. Accept yourself like I do you, in this fleeting moment, when you fall into my dreamy focus. As this moment of me here, now, is repeated in each of you, and multiplied and spread around in a swirl of love. Taking pause to love what is already in your reach. And then love it a little more. Not for what it gives, but for what you can give it to make it sweeter. More nourished like a flower you beg with water to bloom. And then sit back and watch it open. Open a door laced in silken ribbons, swirling around a hollow cylinder floating in space. Leading to a hallway that welcomes you to walk into a virgin meadow where you've never walked before but always belonged, where birds sing your name, in phrases you don't yet recognize as yourself, but yet you walk welcome into it anyway. I find myself here waiting to meet you. And finally you came. You came in peace or perhaps in doubting disagreement, screaming and kicking, but anyway you came. To this sacred valley where part of you is known. And part of you is learning to know yourself. Just like me, and her, and him. All of us together in trust, sometimes still afraid of what we might be, but this sacred trust calls us anyway. And we grow like seeds into trees that grow into forests that fill valleys and overflow between oceans filling up everything there is to see, and them creating more. Or creating less and breathing in the splendor of what already is. And in that seeing we find a deeper place to look, and tunnel into it, until again we find our heart, sprinkled across the morning, and feel the dew of our being, refracting the light that glistens, with words of love said for the first time, again, and again. And then allowing love's dawn to finally flow eternally, without demise, and awaken again to find, that you and you and you, are where it begins and ends. In this moment, where you stand. Ready to choose. We await your grand re-opening. And we will wait forever.
