To Hear Their Own Wisdom

In the sweet warm water of a new life

I find myself floating in your ocean basking

seeing the source flowing into your basin

from the mountain's wise glaciers cracking

yielding their secrets to the pool of you

cold and fresh crisply they come in whole

warmed by the body that's already there

mixing and displacing what is now due

for spilling over the dam's cascade

And as you leak the churning sweetness

touched with the twist of your loving hand

fresh air mixes into the bubbling foam

preparing it for new ears to hear

and children's voices to behold

with wonder as you allow pretty creatures

to float within the river of your graceful love

to enchant their longing to know

providing a focal point that may allow

their pretty hearts to stop beating

long enough to hear their own wisdom
