artist in hiding
in this pixel land so curious and strange
nowhere ever seen in flesh by me
she opened her heart
on some book of faces
somehow trusting me for no reason
and let loose a watercolor waterfall
full of light and love sparkling
cascading into the eyes of few
and then exploding somewhat larger
in a safe place she had never known
unasleep she began to awaken
shy perhaps and reserved
careful to manage herself properly
I see an angel painting the heaven
that flows effortlessly in her mind
in a warm summer sea so large it has no edge
other than the constraints she imagines
but I know her heart is as large as time can reach
across the universe of all dimension
a rolling thunder hiding there
awaiting its moment of passion so deep
placed dangling on the tip of her brush
it leaks onto her canvas so well and kind
always with good intention but reserved
and in that exposure
and see the edge of a soul
sweeter and pure
longing to sing and glow and grow and dance
spreading beauty across the eyes
of anyone willing to truly see
and that is my artist friend Lucie Fair
awaiting her cocoon to open
and become the butterfly she already is
